Daz Dillinger Song Disses Jermaine Dupri, Suge Knight

Dogg Pound member Daz Dillinger has recorded a new song for Dillinger & Makaveli II (The Tribute Album) dissing Jermaine Durpi, Suge Knight and Alan Grumblatt.
The song, which is entitled "Fuck You Roll Call - JD, Suge Knight & Alan Grumblatt," appears on the street album, which was released in celebration of Tupac's birthday. Dillinger's history with the three label heads - Dupri the founder of So So Def, Knight a co-founder of Death Row Records, and Grumblatt president of E1 (formerly Koch) Records - is well-documented, as he had music releases on all three labels.
The track is literally a roll call, with Dillinger saying, "I want to say a big 'fuck you' to Jermaine Dupri, Suge Knight, any other motherfuckers I've had business quarrels with...Alan Grumblatt from Koch, fat fucker."
Dillinger & Makaveli II is a group project by Daz and DJ Nik Bean, consisting of new raps over a collection of beats Tupac previously used.

Suge Got Knocked the Fuck Out... Again!
Big bad Suge Knight got his clock cleaned again! This time, hook singer, Akon's manager.

Hip-hop mogul MARION 'SUGE' KNIGHT is recovering from facial injuries after he was allegedly beaten up in a fight with a member of AKON's entourage. The former Death Row Records owner was attending a private party at the W Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona as part of the NBA All-Star weekend (13-15Feb09).
But according to TMZ.com, trouble ensued when two groups of guests in the VIP area clashed - allegedly resulting in Knight being punched twice in the head.

The website claims police were called to the venue at about 3.30am, where Taser guns were used to break up the fight. Robert Carnes Jr. was arrested and charged with one count of felony aggravated assault - reportedly due to "the severity of the victim's injuries". Another suspect - only referred to as Anderson - was taken into custody and charged with one count of misdemeanour disorderly conduct. They are both being held in custody at Scottsdale City Jail.
A Scottsdale police report of the incident states, "Officers arrived and watched a group of about 6-8 guests exiting the VIP area. They saw one person, later identified as Robert Carnes Jr., punch the victim in the head two times. Officers deployed Tasers to quell the fight that erupted.
"Officers arrested Carnes Jr. and Anderson for assault and disorderly conduct. The victim was transported to SHC-Osborn hospital where he was treated for facial injuries. Carnes Jr. reported to officers that he is employed as the business manager for singer 'Akon'."
Akon was not present during the fight. His publicist Jaime Cassavechia tells WENN, "Akon had already left the party and was in his hotel room at The W, when the incident occurred." The rep also denied that Carnes, Jr. handles the singer's business, although she confirms he is a member of the star's camp. It's the second time in a year that Knight has been beaten up - he was knocked out for three minutes and had to be taken to hospital last May (08) following an alter-cation outside a Hollywood nightclub.

Charges Dropped Against Suge Knight In Vegas

A judge on Friday dismissed drug and battery charges filed against Marion “Suge” Knight, the hip-hop mogul accused of beating a woman in a parking lot in August.
Clark County Court spokesman Michael Sommermeyer says Justice of the Peace Abbi Silver dismissed the charges without prejudice in a morning hearing. Knight’s attorney, David Chesnoff, said the prosecution had “discovery problems and witness problems.” Prosecutor Susan Benedict did not immediately return a call for comment.
Knight was charged with two counts of felony drug possession and one count of misdemeanor battery. Police say he arrested in August after he was seen beating a woman while holding a knife in a parking lot near the Las Vegas Strip.
This may not be the end of the case. Court records show the district attorney’s office filed a notice indicating it may try to revive the charges by seeking a grand jury indictment, Sommermeyer said.
A complaint filed by the district attorney’s office accuses Knight of striking a woman identified as Melissa Isaac. Authorities said the woman wasn’t stabbed, but was treated at a hospital for injuries. The complaint says Knight was carrying Ecstasy and hydrocodone when they arrested him.
Knight was later released after posting $19,000 bail. He had faced mandatory probation and up to four years in a Nevada state prison on each of the drug charges. He could have been sentenced to up to six months in jail on the battery charge.

Suge Knight Faces Drug Charges from August Assault

AllHipHop.com has verified that Suge Knight will face felony drug charges stemming from his August 27 arrest for the alleged assault of girlfriend Melissa Isaac.
Police reports reveal that officers arrived and witnessed Knight wielding a knife and punching a naked Isaac in a parking lot off the Las Vegas Strip.
According district attorney David Roger, Knight was arrested that night for felony assault, misdemeanor domestic violence, and for the illegal drugs Ecstasy and hydrocodone (a codeine-based pain reliever). With the lab reports now completed, the path has been cleared to file a criminal complaint.
"It took a while for the lab to analyze the substances, which cause a delay in filing the charges," Roger explained. "Considering Mr. Knight's notoriety, these are serious charges."
The felony complaint will charge Knight on Monday November 17 with battery and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
The assault charge on Knight remains in jeopardy, as the alleged victim Melissa Isaac has gone missing since the incident. At the time of her disappearance, Isaac was scheduled to testify against the former Death Row CEO in court.
Even without Isaac, Roger's prosecution team has vowed to move forward with the case, as two arresting officers were witness to the assault.
At press time, Suge Knight could not be reached for comment.

Suge Knight Officially Loses Death Row
Infamous music mogul Marion "Suge" Knight has officially lost ownership of Death Row Records, as he lost his appeal against a ruling forcing him to sell off all assets from the defunct label.
Knight, who first filed for bankruptcy in 2006 following the company's downfall, was ordered by a California judge in May to liquidate the label at an auction this month. He was in court Tuesday arguing against the order, but his motion was denied and the sale pressed on. The auction included the rights to the label’s back catalogue, which contains such classics as Dr. Dre's The Chronic, and various tracks from Snoop Dogg and the late Hip-Hop legend Tupac Shakur.
The highest bid in the auction came from Global Music Group owner Susan Berg, who bid $24 million for the lot, according to TMZ.

Death Row Records Up For Auction
Court documents obtained by TMZ.com show that infamous former Death Row Records owner Suge Knight is finally being forced to auction the label off to the highest bidder.
The documents state that "all of the recorded music business assets of the estate, along with substantially all of the music publishing business assets of ... Marion 'Suge' Knight" will be up for grabs on June 24.
With a minimum starting bid of $24 million, the auction winner will walk away with works by the likes of Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and the Dogg Pound. Bids must be received by June 10.
Knight's control over the label slipped in a 2006 court ruling that awarded $107 million to a couple that claimed to have fronted the start-up money for Death Row.
The sale of Death Row records might have taken place already, but has been stalled by lawsuits from Dr. Dre and Afeni Shakur, who questioned rights to Dre's solo début, The Chronic, and several of Tupac's recordings.
